I'm back! Just my thoughts and events over the two year period.

Hello blog reader:

I'm back after a near 2 year hiatus.  So much has happened in my life since 2016 and wanted to share some highs and lows with you.

As you know, I used to work at Maui Memorial Medical Center while it was under the State and Kaiser Permanente management.  I enjoyed my time working in the healthcare sector and the people I worked with.  I got to learn so much about being a first responder from my time there.  From training in the education department to doing hands on training, it was a blast!  I enjoyed working with the local law enforcement, fire department, and ems personnel for drills and all.

My Chiefs of Security Richard Bista and Arman Molina taught and prepared me so much about being the best possible security officer that I could be.  My director of Environmental Health Safety Ernesto Noblejas also taught me quite a bit of stuff.  Learning from three of the best leaders was a huge honour!  Their leadership alone was enough to transform me into the security officer I am today.  I also give credit to my former security department co-workers who also helped me out in a big way.  I thank them big time for helping me shape up quite a bit.

Healthcare security is a whole new ball game that requires strong mental capacity and strength.  Captains Bista and Molina were monumental in helping me come out of my former weak self and really helped bring out the best in me as time went on.  I was working at the hospital for well over 7 years and had a lot of lows due to me not being mature enough in their eyes, but finally was able to get a grasp for the job at hand during my 5th year.  Once Capt. Bista retired, Capt. Molina continued to counsel me and worked very hard to shape me up further.  My job ratings were all over the scale during my time there.

As 2016 came to a close in my life, 2017 to present time has been overall ok to me.  I suffered some very deep dark lows during this time period.  Living on Maui was great because of the near perfect weather all year long and didn't really have to worry about winter weather.  During this time however my mental health took a full rugby tackle that almost brought me completely down.  I have depression which I've been had since I was a teenager.

I was getting severely depressed often and hid it very well like many others with the same thing do from time to time.  I've witnessed a lot during this time period and near just about had it.  Depression hit me like waves one episode after more severe episode that nearly took me out of this world.

We were in the middle of 2017 when we were transitioning from Public Management to Private Sector Management.  The stress was almost too large to handle and I was battling major cold bug, flu bug, and every single type of headache known to us.  I was hurting all over and well almost went even deeper into my dark depression stages that almost caused me to end it all.  I was sad often and was having major island fever big time.

I was able to get away and cure the island fever over the summer months and went to Houston Texas to try to unwind and relax which was good for me.  I was able to be with people that I could relate to on a personal level and chill with them at Houston Dash games and other events.  I enjoyed my time in Houston Texas and being with social media friends turned real life good friends.

When I got back to Maui however, my depression that was suppressed for a while came back with a near fatal vengeance.  I was thankful to have been able to find the help I needed after getting home.  Speaking to my own mother was the start I needed.  She was also one of Maui's best behavior health specialists and knew quite a bit of people.  I made it a point to take her advice and see one.  I later made an appointment to see my own behavior health specialist team and got the coaching needed to learn to control my depression.  That is what I needed to help me recover from hurting to breaking out of it.  The medications they gave me help quite a bit and haven't had a near fatal depressive episode in quite a while!

Back in January of this year 2019, I made the choice to move out of Hawai'i and relocate to the mainland to help my mental health out.  Thanks to a good friend of mine, she reached out to me asking if I wanted to live with them.  I accepted that and verbally signed off on all paperwork needed.  I had one month to move out and put in my 30 day move out notice with my landlord.  I packed up most of my prized possessions and shipped them off to my new home!  I was again over come with strong emotions, but this time they were positive.  I resigned from the Maui Memorial Medical in February working my last day in the second week and then flew off to Houston Texas where I was starting my new chapter out.  I miss my former co-workers at the MMMC and hope they're doing very well.

Living in Houston Texas has been a great new challenge for me.  I missed the city and the people here.  Getting to hang out at games and other events with my friends here is awesome!  I also have a few former classmates that live out here so it helps me out as well.  I have a good job now and back in the retail security field.  Being back in a security field where I'm comfortable in is a major plus.  The people I work with are amazing!  I'm glad I made the move.  I miss my family back on Maui, but am loving it out here with my new extended family here in Houston Texas!

The US Women's National Football Team reportedly set to play in Honolulu

It was reported earlier today by multiple sources that the United States Women's National Football Team (USWNT) is reportedly set to play in Honolulu this December.  Per multiple sources, the game is set to be played on Sunday the 6th of December 2015 and the opponent is reportedly against the China PR Women's National Football Team, but other reports suggest it will be against Trinidad and Tobago Women's Nation Football Team.  Venue would be at the Aloha Stadium and kick off time to be announced later on.  There has been no official word has been released from the State of Hawaii, the City and County of Honolulu, the United States Soccer Federation, the China Football Association, or the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association as of yet.  Open practice for the USWNT will be announced by the United States Soccer Federation at a later day and time.  If this game is official, this would be the United States Women's National Football team's first ever time playing a game in the State of Hawaii.
